Once upon a time, there lived a human named Victor.
Victor lived in Athens, Georgia. Athens was a lovely college town which housed the venerable University of Georgia. Victor worked for the university as a web developer.
In Victor's spare time, he liked to make good food for his family and friends. He liked taking naps to refresh his foggy head. And, Victor liked to code; Javascript especially.
He learned enough Javascript in about two months of intense study to get a job at a startup in another state. The job would eventually fizzle out, but Victor's facinaion with Javascript continued.
Javascript opened new careers, hobbies, and even broght new friends to Victor. The language spoken by every web browser of the day floated through Victor's mind as if it was something solid. It bent across creased lines and folded nicely alongside itself.
As Victor grew more familiar with the language, the language itelf continued to evolve. New concepts were learned and syntax memorized. New abilities were were gained. Victor watched as it matured and he grew older.
